Pilbara Special
Story
Hi there!
We are diving into the deep end and fundraising for a cause that's close to our heart.
Help us help the Pancare Foundation!
The Pancare Foundation is doing fantastic work raising awareness of pancreatic and upper gastrointestinal cancers, providing support to families effected and funding assistance for vital research aimimng to increase the survival of those diagnosed.
Of the 3123 people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this year up to 2823 people will die of the disease. Only 7% of those people diagonosed with pancreatic cancer will live longer than 5 years. Unlike other cancers, pancreatic cancer shows symptons in the adavanced stages, often when it is too late for any medical intervention. With such poor prognosis support, awareness and funding research is critical.
Our Rottnest Channel Swim team "Pilbara Special" are undertaking the challanging Rottnest channel swim crossing in February 2017. Not only are we training hard, we are furiously fundraiasing by hosting sausage sizzles and running raffles with all amounts raised going directly to Pancare. We love donations Too! If you can spare any amount, it would go a long way at Pancare. Your donation is going to a fantastic organization!
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to my charity of choice.
Thanks so much for your support!
