Swim for Ningaloo
Story
Hi there,
We are four researchers in marine science—Sophie, Clelia, Laura, and Tess—and we will be swimming to Rottnest Island this February as part of the 2026 Rottnest Channel Swim. Rottnest Island sits roughly 20km offshore, and the swim involves the team crossing the sandy channel from the mainland to the island.
We want to swim for a cause that's close to all of our hearts and fundraise for protection of the Ningaloo coastline and its inhabitants. We'd appreciate any contribution, whether it's big (like the whale sharks Laura studies), or small (like Tess' cryptobenthic fish).
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to the Australian Marine Conservation Society.
